Anastassia Borisova is an Associate Researcher (CR1, CNRS) at Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées (Laboratory of Géosciences Environnement Toulouse), Toulouse, France. Dr. Borisova is also a Researcher at Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, since 2006, and from 1999 till 2009 she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Université Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium; Institut des Sciences de la Terre d'Orléans, Orléans, France; and Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées, Toulouse, France. She was a Ph.D. student at Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry, Moscow, Russia, from 1993 till 1997 and a postgraduate student at the Department of Geology, Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, from 1988 to 1993, specializing in petrology and geochemistry. In 1998, she received the Ph.D. degree in geochemistry and petrology from Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia, with a thesis entitled "Pétrology and geochemistry of magmatic rocks from Aphanasey Nikitin et Conrad Rises, Indian Ocean.” Her areas of expertise include trace element and isotopic geochemistry of magmatic and hydrothermal processes, thermodynamics and kinetics of magmatic processes, origin of magmas and mechanisms of explosive eruptions, origin of ore deposits (hydrothermal and magmatic), and geochemical database on explosive volcanoes in situ microanalytical methods. In 2015, she received the HDR degree from University of Toulouse III (Toulouse, France).

Research

Le but de mes recherches est de quantifier les mécanismes, vitesses et durées des réactions entre magmas, fluides et roches qui se déroulent dans la lithosphère terrestre aux températures et pressions élevées, lors de la mise en place et durant l’évolution des magmas, leur dégazage et la formation des dépôts métallifères hydrothermaux-magmatiques. Ces processus complexes sont contrôlés par différents phénomènes tels que l’assimilation (Borisova et al., 2012a ; 2013 ; 2017 ; 2020a,b), le mélange magmatique (Borisova et al., 2012b ; 2014), la cristallisation et le dégazage, la dissolution/précipitation des minéraux associés (Borisova et al., 2012a) ou encore le partage des métaux et volatils entre différentes phases solides, aqueuses et liquides silicatés (Borisova et al., 2006 ; 2010 ; 2012c; Pokrovski et al., 2013).

Responsibilities

Depuis 2013 Responsable du site international d’observation (instrumenté) VELI à l’Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées, Toulouse.

Depuis 2019 la participation dans la création d’un laboratoire international (franco-indonésien) mixte IRD ‘Subductions Indonésiennes et Risques associés (SIR)’ (France-Indonésie). Responsable du laboratoire SIR à l’Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées.

Observation :

Le site instrumenté VELI (Volcans Explosifs Laboratoire Indonésien) a été labellisé en 2009. Il a pour mission l’observation de volcans indonésiens explosifs fréquemment actifs, considérés comme des volcans analogues des volcans français des Antilles, peu actifs en comparaison. Les volcans indonésiens permettent d’aborder les aspects typiques de l’activité catastrophique de ces volcans à dômes (gaz de haute température, déclenchement et mise en place des coulées pyroclastiques ou lahars, déformations actives, dynamique des dômes), de même que le développement et la validation d’instrumentation et de méthodes de surveillance.

La participation d’Anastassia Borisova du GET a pour but d’établir i) le rôle de la croûte carbonatée dans le déclenchement des éruptions explosives (Borisova et al., 2013), ii) la vitesse et les mécanismes de l’assimilation crustale (Borisova et al., 2021), iii) démontrer le rôle des volatiles libérés lors de l’assimilation pour pouvoir prédire les éruptions (Borisova et al., 2013 ; 2016 ; Troll et al., 2013) ; iv) construire une base de données sur les produits volcaniques des volcans indonésiens (Borisova et al., 2011).
