AFS – atmospheric samples

Équipement de la plateforme Mercure

Atmospheric GEM or GOM pre-concentrated on gold traps or annular KCl coated denuders are analyzed by dual stage AFS. Denuder are first desorbed by heating them in a tube furnace to 550°C and transferring the released Hg to a gold trap (heated at 70°C). We have experience with a range of natural samples, including volcanic samples and the associated use of soda-lime traps to eliminate interfering gases.
